Position Vacant: HMLG Coordinator

Salary: 2-3 days per week @ $35-$45 / hour (negotiable)


Harden Murrumburrah Landcare Group (HMLG) has been active since 1990. We can see the results of 30 years of learning in our landscapes and businesses. They are more resilient and healthier because of HMLG’s work. However, the climatic changes facing us have intensified. HMLG has reset and redefined itself for the future and is now looking for a coordinator to assist in improving the health of our landscapes, businesses, and community.

The role is a unique opportunity to work across multiple projects and engage with diverse stakeholders in the community, corporate and government sectors. As a coordinator you should have:

  • Sound understanding of natural resource management issues in the region and empathy with the local community.

  • Demonstrated well-developed written and oral communication skills, including competence in the use of Word, Excel, email, Internet and social media.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with and develop community groups, including group facilitation, action planning and mediation skills.

  • Proven expertise in project planning, management, record keeping and report writing.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision, use initiative and work as part of a team or network.
