Curious about regenerative agriculture or soil health?
Join Harden regenerative farmer and grazier Michael Baldry and agroecologist David Hardwick for a field day at Collingwood, Beggan Beggan near Harden NSW.
Michael has a mixed farm in southern NSW. This is an opportunity to learn about transitioning to a more regenerative agriculture system or to just catch up with other farmers to understand more about soil science.
David Hardwick of Soil Land Food has taught thousands of farmers about soil and ecology through Landcare extension, TAFE and private consulting in Australia and Asia. He has worked with cane farmers in North Queensland, mango farmers in the Northern Territory, regenerative, conventional and permaculture farmers in NSW and Victoria.
What can you expect?
We will:
check out Michael's recent cover cropping and grazing program
Look at ways to measure soil health and soil biology including a new DNA test option
Q & A and discussion on soils, grazing and cover crops.
Bring a 20cm cube of soil as we will do a soil health refresher and any questions for David and Michael.
