Native Species Revegetation Guide for Harden Shire
With only 2.8% of native vegetation remaining in Harden, HMLG worked with the Centre for Plant Biodiversity Research (CPBR) and CSIRO to develop a Native Species Guide for revegetating Harden Shire.
HMLG prepared an updatable Vegetation Management Plan identifying areas of outstanding value for preservation, areas in need of remediation work and those suitable for planting as wildlife corridors.
In October 1993, the Murrumburrah High School hosted the 2nd National Treefest. With over 10,000 people attending, the Treefest served to raise the level of awareness of the environment and our impacts within the Shire.
