Strategic planning a great success

The committee would like to thank everyone who attended our two half days designed to plan for our next generation in Landcare. Thanks to David McKenzie, of Charles Darwin University, for running the workshops.

The contributions of all members present were gratefully appreciated and are currently being distilled down to some key objectives.

Some of the obvious messages were around the need for a coordinator to drive the group and encourage greater engagement with the members and the wider community.

There were also recurring themes, including greater collaboration with expertise, sub-committees to look at different farming systems and technologies and connecting with other Landcare groups.

We will be reporting back to members when we have a set of clear objectives for further collaboration.

Apologies for the change in venue from the Harden fire control centre as it was beyond our control.
